Some free boundary problems involving non-local diffusion and aggregation
We report on recent progress in the study of evolution processes involving degenerate parabolic equations which may exhibit free boundaries. The equations we have selected follow two recent trends in diffusion theory: considering anomalous diffusion with long-range effects, which leads to fractional operators or other operators involving kernels with large tails; and the combination of diffusio...
متن کاملSome non-local problems with nonlinear diffusion
In this paper we study different problems with nonlinear diffusion and non-local terms, some of them arising in population dynamics. We are able to give a complete description of the set of positive solutions and their stability. For that we employ a fixed point argument for the existence and uniqueness or multiplicity results and the study of singular eigenvalue problems for stability.
متن کاملNon-Lipschitz Semi-Infinite Optimization Problems Involving Local Cone Approximation
In this paper we study the nonsmooth semi-infinite programming problem with inequality constraints. First, we consider the notions of local cone approximation $Lambda$ and $Lambda$-subdifferential. Then, we derive the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker optimality conditions under the Abadie and the Guignard constraint qualifications.
متن کاملBoundary Fluxes for Non-local Diffusion
Abstract. We study a nonlocal diffusion operator in a bounded smooth domain prescribing the flux through the boundary. This problem may be seen as a generalization of the usual Neumann problem for the heat equation. First, we prove existence, uniqueness and a comparison principle. Next, we study the behavior of solutions for some prescribed boundary data including blowing up ones. Finally, we l...
متن کاملThe Study of Some Boundary Value Problems Including Fractional Partial Differential Equations with non-Local Boundary Conditions
In this paper, we consider some boundary value problems (BVP) for fractional order partial differential equations (FPDE) with non-local boundary conditions. The solutions of these problems are presented as series solutions analytically via modified Mittag-Leffler functions. These functions have been modified by authors such that their derivatives are invariant with respect to fractional deriv...
